RFID has several types of standards that are adopted these are:
>Technology
>Air interface
>Host interface
>Hardware requirements
>Data syntax, structure and content
>Data content- Data identifier (DI), application identifier (AI) and syntax specifications
>Conformance- print quality, test procedures and compliance specifications
>Application standards - such as labeling, product package, numbering schemes, etc.
Saudi Arabia usually follows the European standards and to this effect the above types of standards are reflected in the below ISO equivalents RFID standards:
>Technology standard : ISO=18000 series covers both active and passive RFID technologies. The five ISO air interface frequencies adopted are:
1. <135Mhz
2. 13.56 Mhz
3. 2.45 GHz
4. 860 to 960 Mhz
5. 433 Mhz (active only)
> Data content- ISO 15418, 15434, 15459, 24721, 15961, 15962
>Conformance and performance: ISO-18046 and 18047 series for active and passive RFID technologies
>Application standards: ISO-10374, and 11785
